Card number 041 in Bandai’s Carddass trading card series based on Street Fighter Zero — released outside Japan and Asia as Street Fighter Alpha — groups three fighters on a single card face under the subtitle “TOUGH & HARD!!”, printed in both English and Japanese katakana. Manufactured by Bandai under license from Capcom and sold in 1995, the same year the arcade game launched, it features two details that mark it as a genuine Carddass production: a triangular hologram authentication sticker in the lower left corner and a circular punch hole at the top center, both standard on official Carddass cards of that period.

Street Fighter Zero (1995) was Capcom’s prequel to the Street Fighter II series, set earlier in the timeline and centered on a younger Ryu and Ken alongside a roster that drew in characters from Capcom’s earlier fighting and action titles. The game introduced the Custom Combo system and the Alpha Counter mechanic, and it launched what became a three-part series, continuing with Zero 2 (1996) and Zero 3 (1998). Birdie has roots going back to the original Street Fighter (1987), making him one of the oldest characters in the entire franchise. A large British fighter with a yellow mohawk, he attacks with a chain and was largely absent from the series between 1987 and the Zero games — where he effectively made his first genuine competitive appearance as a playable character.

Adon also comes from the 1987 original Street Fighter, appearing there as a Muay Thai practitioner and student of Sagat. The dynamic between master and student forms the core of his character motivation. In the Zero series he returned with a fighting style built around aerial attacks and fast, unpredictable movement.
