Ignihyde Dorm POCOPOCO Phone Grip from Disney Twisted Wonderland
A Retractable Grip Built Around the Ignihyde Emblem
POCOPOCO is a line of smartphone grip holders sold through Japan’s character goods market. Each unit attaches to the back of a phone; the grip portion pops up on demand so users can slide their fingers through and hold the device securely, then folds back flat when not needed. A 360-degree rotation mechanism allows the grip to spin freely in place, and the raised position also works as a kickstand for propping the phone upright. The product comes on a blister card with a hanging hole — the standard retail format found at anime specialty shops and official merchandise events in Japan.
This release is decorated with the crest of Ignihyde, one of the dorms at Night Raven College. The emblem combines a three-headed dog with curling blue flames against a deep-blue background, rendered throughout in the dorm’s signature palette of black and blue.
The Franchise and What Ignihyde Represents
Disney Twisted Wonderland is a Japanese mobile rhythm and adventure game developed by f4samurai and published jointly by Aniplex — part of Sony Music Entertainment Japan — and Disney Japan. It launched in Japan in March 2020, with an English-language global version following in April 2022. The game is set at Night Raven College, a magical academy whose dormitories are each themed after a classic Disney villain. The entire cast was designed by Yana Toboso, the manga artist known internationally for Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji).
Ignihyde draws its identity from Hades and the underworld as depicted in Disney’s Hercules (1997). The three-headed dog on the crest represents Cerberus, the mythological guardian of the underworld who appears alongside Hades in that film. The blue flames are lifted directly from Hades’ most recognizable visual — the flickering azure fire that defines the character throughout the movie. Idia Shroud, the head of Ignihyde, is designed with Hades as his explicit visual and personality reference. The dorm’s color scheme of black, blue, and stylized fire carries through consistently into official merchandise.
Why Ignihyde Draws Attention From International Fans
Ignihyde and Idia Shroud are consistently discussed as popular within the Twisted Wonderland fan community, though detailed official ranking data is limited. The franchise has built a substantial international following, driven in part by the 2022 English release and in part by Yana Toboso’s existing audience among Black Butler readers worldwide.
The Hades connection gives Ignihyde merchandise a layered appeal: it registers for Twisted Wonderland fans focused on this specific dorm and also for Disney fans who recognize the Hercules mythology embedded in the imagery. In the broader Japanese character goods market, functional items like phone grips became a standard merchandise format in the late 2010s because they combine everyday utility with fandom display — a format that translates well for international buyers. This grip is an officially licensed retail product, not a capsule toy or food premium, and its primary distribution was through anime specialty shops and official events in Japan, which limits how easily it reaches buyers outside the country.
