Vil Schoenheit — Twisted Wonderland Acrylic Keychain
An Official Acrylic Keychain from Disney Twisted Wonderland
This is a licensed acrylic keychain featuring Vil Schoenheit from Disney Twisted Wonderland. Acrylic keychains — called “akuki” in Japanese fan shorthand — are made from a printed and die-cut acrylic plate, then fitted with a metal clasp and ring for attaching to bags or straps. This one comes with a silver swivel clasp and split ring. The illustration is enclosed in a black decorative frame designed to resemble a mirror, with a gold banner bearing the character’s name at the bottom. A © Disney SP copyright notice confirms it as an officially licensed piece.
Vil Schoenheit, Pomefiore, and the Snow White Villain Connection
Disney Twisted Wonderland launched in Japan in March 2020, published by Aniplex in collaboration with Disney. The game is set in a magic school whose dormitories each take their identity and aesthetic from a classic Disney villain. Pomefiore, the dorm Vil Schoenheit leads, draws from the Evil Queen of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs — its central themes are beauty, pride, and rigorous self-discipline. Character design across the entire game was handled by Yana Toboso, the creator of Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji), which gives the cast a visual style that blends European Gothic elements with Japanese bishonen aesthetics. An anime adaptation began streaming in 2021.
Vil is one of the game’s central figures: a high school student who simultaneously works as a top model and actor, defined by an exacting and deeply personal relationship with beauty. His design runs to blonde hair, purple eyes, and a gold crown. The mirror-frame motif on this keychain connects directly to both his persona and the Evil Queen heritage of his dormitory — the mirror being one of the most iconic symbols in the Snow White story.
Japan’s Acrylic Keychain Tradition and This Franchise’s Global Appeal
Acrylic keychains became a standard part of Japanese anime and game merchandise through the 2010s. They let fans own a piece of official character artwork in a format that is compact and displayable — the printed acrylic brings the game or anime illustration into physical form. Alongside can badges and gashapon capsule toys, they make up one of the core categories of what Japanese collectors call character goods.
Twisted Wonderland merchandise is distributed through Aniplex-affiliated retail shops, game anniversary campaigns, and collaboration cafes. Some releases are tied to specific events or limited windows, which can restrict how widely individual items circulate outside Japan after the fact. The franchise holds an unusual position globally: it is a Japanese-original Disney title, not a localization of an existing Western property, and its Yana Toboso design lineage gives it a following among Black Butler fans internationally, as well as among players of the English version of the game. Vil Schoenheit has a visible presence in international fan communities, and Pomefiore’s Snow White villain aesthetic lends him an additional layer of appeal for Disney fans more broadly.
